My bachelor’s thesis Screen Spaces — the interdisciplinary cooperation between University Hospital Cologne and KISD on the interplay of image, space, and action in robot-assisted surgery — was nominated for the Kölner Designpreis 2019. Drawing on image and video analyses, the thesis reveals the conditions and possibilities of the complex human–machine interactions with the Da Vinci® surgical system. In the same year it was shown at the KISD Parcours and presented at the annual conference of the Gesellschaft für Medienwissenschaft.
